Dr. Boone uses Stryker Mako® Robotic-Arm Assisted Technology and the Smith & Nephew NAVIO™ Surgical System for hip and knee replacement. These systems create a detailed 3D model of the joint before surgery, allowing precise implant placement, protecting healthy tissue, and supporting a smoother recovery.

A partial knee replacement treats only the damaged part of the knee and preserves healthy bone and ligaments, often allowing a quicker recovery. A total knee replacement replaces the entire joint and is recommended when arthritis affects multiple areas, providing more complete pain relief.

Hip replacement removes the damaged ball and socket and replaces them with an implant, suited to most patients with advanced arthritis. Hip resurfacing caps the existing bone rather than replacing it, preserving more natural bone, and is often favored by younger, active patients with strong bone quality.

Hip and knee replacement surgery has a high success rate. Around 90 percent of knee replacements still function well 15 to 20 years after surgery, and most hip replacement patients experience significant pain relief and improved mobility within a few months, returning to walking and low-impact activity.
