Dr. Christopher R. Boone is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who welcomes patients from Bellevue, Washington, and the surrounding region. He specializes in robotic knee and hips replacement surgery, complex hip disorders including femoroacetabular impingement, hip dysplasia, and hip labral tears. He also has extensive training in complex hip and knee surgery, hip arthroscopy, and minimally invasive anterior hip replacement surgery.
Dr. Boone’s expertise is in minimally invasive surgery using today’s most advanced robotic technology. He has vast experience performing knee and hip surgeries using Stryker Mako® Robotic-Arm Assisted Technology and the Smith & Nephew NAVIO™ Surgical System.
Dr. Boone graduated from Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington, with his undergraduate degree in biology. He attended medical school at the University of Washington in Seattle, then went on to complete his orthopedic residency at Beaumont Hospital in Michigan.
After finishing his residency training, Dr. Boone completed subspecialty training in trauma and hip and pelvic reconstruction at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California. While at Stanford he performed many complex procedures on hip and knee patients. He has been a successful research scientist, presenting his work at national meetings and publishing articles in national and international medical journals.
When he’s not helping patients, Dr. Boone enjoys skiing and the occasional basketball pickup game. He and his wife, Carmen Betz-Boone, are both native Washingtonians and longtime members of the Washington wine community. They live in Redmond, where they spend much of their free time playing with their three boys.
